We woke to this beautiful sky yesterday, gorgeous colours over Nottingham.

Trying to pretend to at least be a little healthy with poached eggs and mushrooms on toasted tiger bread instead of sausages and bacon…..

I took some time to complete some learning, acquainting myself with an introduction to ITIL. The Information Technology Infrastructure Library is a set of practices and a framework for IT activities such as IT service management and IT asset management that focus on aligning IT services with the needs of the business.

I am working on my CV, tweaking, chopping, editing and re-writing…. Still not sure if it is right….

The job sounds fun and it’s a fresh start. Would be good to know I have something lined up, but at this stage there is not too much pressure, still being paid….

Dipping my toes in the job seeking world, steep learning curve. It’s a very complicated process and so competitive, and so many options….

i hope that was the worst of the applications to come. Starting from scratch involved a lot of work that hopefully will not be required again from now on. Much of the information will be used again and tweaked on any future applications. Just gotta wait now and see what happens.

After 3 decades in the same organisation I was informed last week that my time in the company is coming to an end. All office based work is moving out of Nottinghamshire and my building closes on September.

Now the hunt is on for a new role, a new start, it’s frightening to start job hunting at my age, but the opportunity is also exciting. There appears to be positions out there, but the application and interview process is something very new to me and at the moment it’s very daunting.

First application will be going in today. We will see what happens……
