Bye bye BT broadband

Having been made redundant last month by BT, I am gradually getting rid of all the old ties…. This week the broadband is due to switch to Plusnet (I know it’s still BT owned, but gone for the no frills, broadband only package, it was the cheapest option I could find).

Odd week….

Lovely day out in Lincoln sampling the street food at Stack, and it was tasty.

We had a nice, steep, walk up to the cathedral and castle and and a drive home via a toll bridge (who knew).

Now two days interview prepping for Thursday morning, I hope I am on the right track….

My new garden friend

Each time I have been doing jobs in the garden over recent weeks I have been joined by a lovely new friend who has followed me around. Such a friendly little robin who seems so interested in what is happening. Wonderful company.

Troubadour Miles Hunt

A last minute discovery that one of my favourite musicians was playing a new venue (to me) in my one home city led to a very enjoyable Sunday evening last week.

Miles Hunt (The Wonder Stuff’s troubadour) was on his usual top form and we really liked our first visit to Nottingham’s The Old Cold Store at the rear of Castle Rock Brewery’s Vat and Fiddle. It’s a lovely little venue that was full of appreciation for Miles.
