After the disappointment of a pile of soggy dough instead of a tasty pizza last night we learnt new tricks this morning, diagnosing and changing the oven element. You have to love the internet for new skills. Two hours and £19 saved us a few quid on a call out.
As well as boxing in pipes and meters I have also replaced rotten planter boxing at the front (we must have built the original one about 18 years ago. The decking boards had seen much better days. Please to have got this finished in a day.
Trying to make most of the last few days of unemployment before starting new job by catching up on some outstanding home jobs….
After decorating basement last year we had not decided what to do with the utility meters. I finally got them boxed in this week. Found Banksy to cover Stop Tap.

A week after watching the last episode of Gavin and Stacy (twice) on Christmas Day, and once since, plus the two finale documentaries, and we are still discussing how clever and perfect the writing of Jones& Corden is. They have created characters and phrases that have been adopted into our culture and language. Just lush.
Bright sunny day before New Year’s Eve, we could not decide where to venture, so back to old favourite University Park.
Spent a couple of hours hanging out at the Trent Building, University of Nottingham in the cold, winter sunshine today.


Another Academy dance show and I am figuring out a new lighting desk. Why are they all setup differently and never clearly labelled…. Got there in the end….
